I ran upon this picture from my 18 birthday last year. My 18 birthday was so much fun! My best girlfriends took me to dinner downtown and they put this halarious tiara and boa on..just my style! They were so great! I miss them all so much! So I thought I would begin a countdown! Let's see here---seeing as what time it is pretty much 16 more days until my birthday!! Hint: TAX day! Also, a special welcome to a new member, Carlie! Whose birthday is a day after mine! How cool!

Summer is finally here!

My morning was spent in bed relaxing and checking out cool stuff online. This afternoon me and my "boss" (ha!) went to Lifeway and Starbucks to discuss "matters at work." It was a relaxing day and I am feeling a little bit better.
When I got home, I was a bit down because me car was really pink, so I washed the ole' Roadrunner she looks beautiful!! I love my car! Honda's are the best cars ever!
Also, when I got home, my dad had mowed the yard. One of the things I love most about home in the summer is coming home to freshly cut grass and seeing my dad working outside. The pic below is only a little part of our yard..The odd looking stone thing is an awesome stone grill..that works but we never use it. For the rest of the night I will probably relax up for tomorrow and eat Chinese food, Yum!

Don't worry...I haven't fallen of the face of the Earth!

Well, it has been a few days since I've blogged. The past few days have been very productive and a lot of great things have happened. I am getting so sick right now. My throat feels lke it's the sick of a rocket ship and it hurts really bad. When my voice doesn't function, I don't really function too well. And, to be honest, I get a bit irritated. Because, I'm pretty much useless in lots of areas without my voice. I am so worried that I am not going to be able to sing on Friday for Richard's recital. So I've popped a few Night time pills and I have been drinking Airbornne like crazy. Hopefully, by Friday I will be rested up and ready to go!
Yesterday was the last night of the 21 day Bible study I was going through. I'm kind of sad that I don't have it anymore. I learned a lot of great things, and I feel it has helped me in a lot of different areas! It's hard to believe that it's already been 21 days!
I looked at some apartments today. I had some luck with a few. It's looking pretty good for me to hopefully move out in the fall. I'm crossing my fingers that I will be able to save up a lot over the summer to prepare for the cost.
I've been thinking. Sometime this summer I need to take a road trip. Just get away for like 4 days. Not by myself of course, I'm not that dumb. But get away with some friends. I'm thinking May...because June will by wild and July will be just as crazy I'm sure. So hopefully my schedule will allow me to take a mini vaca for a bit this summer. It would be so nice to get away for a while and take a beather!
So, for all who haven't discovered the new show...Unan1mous... news flash, it's awesome. It's on Wednesday nights at 8:30. Of course, it's a reality show, my favorite! I don't really watch too much tv but this is pretty good! I recomend you taking a peek!
Also, NARNIA is coming out April 4...so excited! Narnia is my all time favorite book, and the movie was freaking awesome..the soundtrack rocks too!
Note: The picture was taken at my grandparents house a while back. I don't think they have the peacock anymore.
Well, I need to get going to bed, my medicine is kicking in, and I need my rest. Later!

A Relaxing Night
Tonight was such a blast! The concert was so awesome! Luckily, this time me and Richard went to TPAC it wasn't like 20 below and snowing...so the long walk wasn't miserable. We were really looking forward to tonight because both of our weeks are going to be CArazy. It was nice to actually relax and enjoy someone else performing.
We were especially looking forward to seeing if the violinist, Mairead, actually does play when she "flits" around the stage. Because, on the PBS special she for sure was not playing...the vibrato gave it all away! Anyways, tonight, she was not playing either.. BUT! she did have one rockin' song that she played with the pianist and it was so beautiful. You could tell it was really her by the tone and such..still perfect though! The night was a true hit, and very enjoyable!
I regret not having a great picture from tonight, but none were taken..too bad..mine and Richard's hotness can just forever stay in our memory.
Tomorrow is coming all to fast for me. I will be at school from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM....AGH! I've got very important things tomorrow such as: a music scholarship try-out..I have to sing two songs for the faculty, and I have to practice for the first time for a recital that is a very big deal. Along with those two important things I will be enjoying my normal every Monday festivities such as my voice lesson and FAN 216 (the worship service led by Daniel Doss). So, with all this said... I must get going so I can get all of my stuff together for tomorrow!

Little Paco

This afternoon was spent at my sisters house. They just recently got a dog which is actually a rat terrior just like my dog, Buddy. This dog is the smallest things I've ever seen. He is smaller than my shoe..and he's two years old! He is so adorable, the picture doesn't do him any justice...he looks a bit frazzled himself in the picture. Taking the trip to their house was definately a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Well, I need to get going and get ready for Celtic Women tonight! My ride picks me up at 6:00!! :-) I'll write a critique on the performance later!

A New Discovery
I am spending the afternoon with Bryce today. I bought some play-doh for my Sunday school class and thought we should break it in a bit. It was his first time playing with it. At first, he thought that we were just going to stack the containers, he didn't know anything was inside. Then I got the play-doh out and he got so excited! I gave him wooden spoons and little tools to play with too. It was so cute. At first he threw it on the floor. He thought that it was supposed to bounce! Ha! Eventually, he figured out what he was supposed to do with it and spent about an hour playing with it. I finally got him away by telling him we were about to eat pizza! W
e always have a great afternoon together.
I finally get to baby-sit tonight. I'm so excited! I'm babysitting some really fun kids! I always enjoy this because parents deserve a break away every once in a while!
Speaking of break, I'm going to go nap up for tonight. I'll write more later!

Full of Music

I had to sing for a studio class today at school. FYI: A Studio Class is when all students get together who study with the same teacher once a month. It's good experience, and helps you improve when others critique you. Today I wasn't feeling to hip on doing my song. There are a lot of very high notes in the song...like a high D..for those who don't know how high that is check out the second to highest D on the piano..yeah..that high..it's crazy. Anyways, 10 in the morning definately is not the greatest time to sing stuff that powerful and I'm not feeling well at all and I knew it would be really bad. But, it wasn't! I did a really awesome job! The song is called Willow Song from the opera Ballad Of Baby Doe. The girl who sings the song in the opera just got through a really bad breakup and it's about her heartache. I guess one could say I related well to this song. I feel I did a really a great performance this morning, and others had all possitive things to say as well.
After the performance I went to see Richard at work to get a cd. He works at the coolest music store in Clarksville..ha, and the only usic store in Clarksville. But it really is so awesome! They are just finishing up remodeling the whole place and it really rocks! Anyways, I'm singing for his senior recital March 31 with his friend Daniel Doss http://www.danieldossband.com so I had to get the song from him. I think it's going to be really great! We are working on it Monday night at school before FAN 216. The Daniel Doss Band leads worship for that on campus every Monday night at 8. It's really awesome too!
I'm really excited about Richard's Senior Recital. (He plays cello...note: the picture is not a good way to play the cello!) All who do not know, a Senior Recital is like the "big deal" of your whole college experience when you are a music major. It's a whole hour of just you and others that you choose to help you with songs. I'm so excited for Richard! His recital is so close and he has worked so hard for this. I'm really proud of him and I can't wait to see him shine in this! It really is going to be so great!
Also, me and him are going to a super awesome cool concert on Sunday night. The group of girls are called Celtic Women, and they are so awesome! http://www.celticwoman.com/site.html. My parents got me tickets for my birthday..APRIL 15!! So this is an early birthday present for me!
I also found out today that I will be trying out for a huge music scholarship on Monday at 4:00. I'm praying I get this, it would definately be awesome to get some extra cash for college!
I'll keep you up to date on how everything turns out!

A New Friend
I made a new friend today at school. Her name is Holly and she is really great. Turns out, her husband is really good friends with Richard (my boyfriend..and yes..we say boyfriend and girlfriend now Jeff). So anyways, we talked over breakfast today after Theory and she is going to get me started with a Bible study she and a few friends are doing. I am so pumped about it. It meets at a great time and it will be something really small for me to be a part of. This is something I have been praying for for a long time, and I'm really happy the Lord sent Holly my way.
The significance of the buttercups are simply this. If you look at a buttercup what do you see? Well, they are yellow and the color yellow symbolizes happiness. And they grow everywhere. I've even seen some grow through gross gravel. God wants us to be happy and grow wherever we are and whatever we are going through in our lives. He will never put us through anything too tough that we can't get out of it. We'll always have Him to help us through the "gravel." So whenever life gets you down, go pick a buttercup and soak in God's greatness!

Deo for Matthew Mcconaughey's BO

Tonight I was glancing through pictures from Live Out Weekend. I found this one of me and Jeff. He had just asked who thought Matthew Mcconaughey is hot? He says Abbey thinks that he is so hot, I'm right there with her. But, this just in for all that do not know: Matthew doesn't wear deoderant. Ok, that's just gross! I saw him on Oprah and he said that he hasn't worn deo. since he was 12. He claims that he has this natural aroma so he just doesn't ever need it. Yeah right! So, to me, Matthew is now, not so hot. But, luckily scent doesn't effect the way he sounds. His voice, my friends, will always be a frangrance to my ears!

I've jumped on the wagon...

Well, I am now connected to the world of blogging. Some may say, "well great, now everyone will now know everything about you." While most will say, "it's about time!" Either way, I'm here and ready to shout out what goes on in my life! I look forward to letting you peek into my awesome daily journey's!
