A Wedding Event Filled Weekend

Friday: DeAnna's bridemaid dinner. Saturday: My first wedding tea with my family and close friends.
Last night was Deanna's night out with the ladies. We went to Olive Garden then back to her house for gifts. We all had a graet time together! I got my engagement pictures back yesterday! They are amazing! Sorry I don't have any to show just yet! Jodi did an incredible job on them. It was so hard for me and mom to sleep last night because of the excitement of today! My first bridal tea was today at my aunt Beth's house. John and I got all kinds of great things! We are very excited about everything! After the tea, we headed back to our house and packed all of the gifts into the master bedroom on display. I got a better look at them then. I can't wait to use all of the awesome stuff I got once we're married!

A Summer Kickoff

Yesterday was the start of the first week of summer for me and John! It was also his first morning to wake up in our house. So I woke up really early and got some breakfast stuff together and headed his way to stir up a yummy breakfast. After we ate we headed to a perfect afternoon on the lake! It was nice being out on the water again! And of course, it was fabulous to start getting a tan. I got a bit TOO much sun yesterday. And for the record, I am pretty miserable today from it. BUT! it was a blast and I caught my first big mouth bass which was exciting! I REFUSED to touch it and was flipping out in the above picture here when it was being taken...but you can't tell right?!! So the wedding is nearing us, and we are getting very excited! We are STILL in the process of getting John's things moved into our house. And he doesn't even have a lot of stuff! I can't even imagine how it's going to be once we start moving MY stuff in later on..oh my word! It will be a job for sure!

Graduation

I was a proud fiance this weekend. John graduated from Austin Peay Nursing program on Friday. It feels so so good for him to be finished! He begins his job in the ER at Centential very soon. And great news with this new job...he doesn't work nights! Isn't God great! Since the last post, God has provided all of our needs except the fridge! Again, isn't God great! We are in the process of deeeeeep cleaning the house because John is beginning to move his stuff in the our house. Now that school is over we are now shifting into HIGH gear for the wedding! I'm so so excited, I just can't wait anymore! Coming soon: Parties and Teas!
Picture Note: We are a really proud new aunt and uncle! And look at how many awesome honors John graduated with! Yes...I'm proud! Next year, I'll be happy to have the robe ;-)

Birthday Dinner, Couch, and 2 Days

Friday night John took me out to Cool Springs so we could find our wedding bands. We found mine at Shane Co. which I recommend to everyone! They are the nicest people and have wonderful warranty's on jewelry. The young man who sold us my ring turned 21 the day after me; he was very nice. He gave us a $25.00 gift card to Red Lobster because he said he didn't like sea food. He then told us how to get there and that it wa sonly about a mile up the road. Once we left we were on a highend search for Red Lobster in the pouring down rain. After three stops for asking direction, and 45 minutes we finally found red lobster. We felt like complete idiots the whole time we were searching! We ate, and we enjoyed every minute we got to spend together.
On Saturday we had our engagement picures taken downtown Nashville and at our photographers house outside. They should be here in the next few weeks so I can't wait to share those with everyone! They are sure to be beautiful!
Today I got a phone call from our friend amanda about a couch she was wanting to get rid of. We so graciously accepted the offer and just got back from picking it up! It looks so great in our living room. It's so exciting how our sweet little house is coming together! We have already begun to get a few wedding gifts. We are locking them away in the master bedroom until after we get back from our honeymoon. We are going to be so anxious to get back and get situated!
There are only 2 days left of school which means...finals! It will get a bit stressful for me, but I'm ready to hit them full force and conquer them all so I can begin enjoying wedding stuff! Two months from today!!

Twenty One

The often most dreaded day of the year, April 15, brought upon another wonderful birthday for me! It began by a wonderful breakfast made my my precious mom and birthday presents from my parents! They got me a CHI straightener (dazzling hot pink color- too cute!) CHI hair products and an extremely powerful and amazing salon brand hair dryer! I was very excited about my hair products and I must say that my hair is enjoying them VERY much! I had a wonderful day at school and a great afternoon! I had to go back to school for a choir rehearsal that night. Afterwards my best girlfriends took me out to eat at chili's. We had a wonderful time. Boober got me baloons, beads I had to wear, and roses that we had all in the restaurant. What can I say, everyone knew it was my birthday! Looking forward to Friday night, my man is taking me out somewhere fancy pants and I'm getting my gift from him then! Then Saturday is a day I have been looking forward to for forever now! Our engagement pictures are being taken! We are so so excited! Updates coming soon from this weekend!

Baby Adam

Mom, Dad, and I visited April and baby Adam today in the hospital. Adam got his hostpital pictures taken today. He looks so different today then he did the other day. He is just so precious I will have to say. Hospital pictures have really come a long day since I was born (21 years ago in 3 days!) when they used to just sit you up with your arms all crossed and a sock hat on. Adam's turned out very nice and he was precious the whole time. April and Adam get to come home tomorrow.
This week is my last full week of school! I am oh so happy about this! I am pretty much finished with every large final assignment except for a few tweeks here and there. I just can't wait until May so John and I can actually go out to eat or hang out with our friends on the weekends instead of study or write papers all the time. It has been a very busy semester for us both. Especially him since he will be graduating May 3! I'm so proud of him! He has done an amazing job balancing everything this semester.
Next time: Birthday Week for Lindsey!!

Craigs List

I just got off the phone with a real dear friend of mine. She introduced me to a very helpful website! It's cragslist.com. It is a site that has everything that you may want to buy for sale from individual owners. I'm sure I'm the only person who has not heard of this so I'm so sorry for wasting your time there for a moment! I was browsing through the couches and these headlines that you click on are quite intriqing. One may say like new, beautiful, modern couch. So one can get their hopes high then click on the link and this hideous couch appears. I haven't found a pretty couch yet that I like. I also looked for a fridge, and found a few hopefuls! John and I have all the furniture for our house except a fridge, living room furniture (couch, loveseat, chair), and queen matresses. We're set once we find those! We have been so blessed with people just giving us things that are in wonderful shape and that are actually nice looking! We are crossing our fingers and keeping our ears opened for those things to add!

Sick, Paint, & Baby Time!

The past week has quite a ride if I say so myself. Last Friday night I was very excited about staying at home all night and working on my thesis paper for music history. My body had different plans. I was up from about 3 that afternoon to 3 Saturday morning with a stomach virus. The rest of the weekend (that was SUPPOSED to be successful) was spent with me on the couch recouperating. And John took me to our house so we could paint some of the iron rails we are working on. That wore me out, but it was a nice day and I wanted to push myself to feeling better. Finally, yesterday, I felt completely recovered, back to normal, and eating regularly which has been nice. I had to switch into high gear last night and finish my paper and several other things with school. But..all of this is boring so on with the fun news. Tomorrow morning we are scheduled to have a new little addition to our family! My sister, April, will be having her baby boy! Bryce, my nephew with be sleeping over at our house tonight bc his mommy and daddy have to wake up extrememly early to arrive at the hospital. We will get him ready and head there around 7 tomorrow morning to see them right before they take her into labor. We are looking forward to baby Adam being in God's world, and we are thankful that God has kept him and his mommy healthy healthy this whole time. Pictures tomorrow!

The Beginning of Wedding Festivities!

Today began the start of the events for the wedding.Mom and I hosted the Bridesmaid Luncheon at The Looking Glass Restraunt this afternoon. We gave the girls their "bling" to wear on the wedding day. The food was amazing, the cake was delish, and the girls were just so sweet! I love those girls so much. They are my best friends. It was really cool to be sitting at the same table with my favorite, best girl friends!

Easter Festivities

Each year Johns family goes out of town for a huge family reunion. I really look forward to the trip every year. We went again this year and had even more fun then we did last year! I think it gets better each year.
Easter Sunday was so beautiful. It was so nice to be at church with my family and John. Dad can't usually come to church on Sunday mornings anymore because of his job but he got to Sunday! We were very happy! After church we went to my Nanny's house for lunch. Nanny hasn't had us for a long time. It's been about 5 years since we all were over there as a fmaily for Easter. It's something that I always enjoyed as a kid and I was really glad that John got to share the time with us together! Check out my adorable newphew! isn't he getting big! Check out April, about to burst! And my sweet sixth grade girls sunday school class!

A Proud Fiancee'

John had his first interview today for a job at a hospital. After about an hour and a half from the time he was interviewing I get a phone call from him with news. He got offered a job in his interview! With his experience they want him in telemetry (heart stuff :-) He is really excited about learning a lot in htis department. He told them he would let them know for sure within the week. We will pray hard together about it and we will make a desicion. It is at Saint Thomas Hospital. It seems they have great benefits, and now I have to learn what all goes along with this word "benefit" I'm gonna learn a lot of new terms that have to do with insurance plans and all that jazz. Aw, the joys of growing up and getting married!! So since he got a job offer I cooked a huge dinner all by myself! I cooked ribeye steak, green peas, baked potatos, macaronie and cheese, and a huge yeloow cake with chocolate icing! I got carried away with the sprinkles!
Wedding planning is being polished as we speak! They invitations are almost finished being designed and the cake lady is sending us a demo of the cake within the week! Then we have small details to cover! I just can't wait to be John's wife! A wife is something I have dreamed of and worked so hard to become good at my whole life. I'm so glad that God put us together. We are truly a blessed couple!

Babies! -Round One

We received a phone call yesterday afternoon that my cousin, Shelley's water broke! She was pregnant with twins. Originally due April 2 they decided to make their debut a bit early! Boy-Parker Charles weight: 3 lbs. 13 oz. 16 1/2 inches long and Girl-Kayla Marie weight: 3 lbs. 9oz. 17 inches long. We rushed to the hospital as fast as we could. It didn't take long and the precious little miracles were in the world! Mommy, Daddy and both babies are healthy and doing great! The babies will be in NICU for a bit but they are making wonderful progress already! They are both cute as a button!
April is due with Adam on April 10th. We can't wait for more baby to get here and I can't wait to see my new little nephew!!

She Made It

Last night I was so stressed out about all the many thing sI needed to get accomplished before today and all the things I had to do for today such as tests, performances, papers, and such. I literally had a breakdown. I wasn't sure where to start and I didn't see myself accomplishing all of my work in time. I found myself stepping back amid all the drama I was simply creating for myself and went out on my front porch swing and prayed. It's so amazing what a friend we have in Jesus and how He is ALWAYS there when we need Him. Even if it is for little dramatic breakdowns where we can't even see tomorrow because the day is so hectic. Once I started praying it was as if a sheet of comfort was laid upon me and all was put at ease. I sighed and all the drama and stress was gone away.
When we have our little moments in life we need to remember to take a moment away from the stress. Just to step back and turn away from it all and give it to Jesus. He'll help take it away and make it all better. What a good friend we all have!

Paint

Saturday morning John and I headed to our house and began painting our landry room. Here is a before and later is an after of our master work! We both learned that painting a room white ir really hard! I worked in the laundry room all morning while he scraped and painting the iron railing on the outside of the house. It was fun working on our house. It really doesn't need anymore work. We just needed to paint that one room becuase it was remodeled and the railing because they are old. It is looking great! While we were there we had some visitors! My and John's friends stopped by, Mr. Darell and Mrs. Ruth. They are the couple who let us borrow their boat all the time! And my mom, april and bryce +soon to be here adam stopped by. April and bryce hadn't seen the house yet. Mom brought John and I a few things for our house! She got my yellow rubber gloves that have a yellow decoratve trim. They are really cute and I begged her to get me them a long time ago and she wouldn't! She also got us an awesome picture for our kitchen that matches our decor perfectly and a decor kitchen towel that matches! We were so excited to get our first gifts! I had to hurry and clean all the paint off of me last night and get all dolled up for DeAnna's bridesmaid dinner. She is a May bride and also one of my bridesmaids. We went to The Old Spaghetti Factory. It was so yummy and a great time with all the girls! DeAnna is the on in the green dress! All of the bridesmaids all wore black! Unplanned but we were happy it worked out this way so De could stand out!

Vague On The Details

After an amazing response from blog readers everywhere I have decided to include some details that were vaguely written in previous posts! I was flattered and had no idea so many people read my blog! So here you are readers!
The interview!: It was with Lifeway Christian Resources. The job is a Summer Internship in the music publishing department. I would go to writers conferences and help be a part of working on childrens worship curriculum! I know, go ahead and say it "it's right up my alley!" I agree!
The house!: It's a 2 bed 1 bath dark red brick home about 10 minutes away from my parents house. It has all new floors and one huge, amazing laundry room! John and I are painting the laundry room on Saturday so start expecting pictures then! The laundry room had to be remodeled so we asked our landlord if we could paint it for something to do together! We weren't going to orignally rent, but when God showed us this amazing deal we couldn't pass it up! We knew this was our first place to live! We got our keys today and like to have NEVER left the place this morning. We love being there so it will be such a joy when we are there in June after our wedding!!!

100 Days

Yes, that's right. Only 100 days! Or you could say 3 months and 8 days. Either way...it's getting here quick! News, News- We got a house!!! It's in the area we wanted and it's just perfect for us! We can begin moving our stuff, in and cleaning, painting, and planting flowers...basically whatever we want, right now!!! We are going to go get our KEY ...yes a KEY! (oh my gosh, i can't believe it!) this week when we get a chance to go over there! Some of you readers may not understand my excitement of a key. But you see, the only key I have ever had has been the same house key I've had all my life. Now, I have a place to call mine and John's! Neither of us will reside in our new home until after our honeymoon! We decided that we will begin living there as together since it's our first big decision together at this point in our relationship! So, yah yah about that!
Today was just gorgeous was it not!? I worked out this morning after my first class and then carried on in class for the rest of the afternoon. Later, I got home, gave Boober a call and we went for a good mile jog. Yes, I'm trying to work on my bod for the wedding and summer. It's been fun working out so far at school. We have an amazing brand new complex. It has strict rules, but it's great!

Tasty Cake

My interview was today! I was looking forward to it all day, and it finally got here! It went really well. I felt great about it. God has given me peace about it all! If I get it that's great, and if I don't get it then that's great too because that just means He has another plan for me which is awesome!! God is so good isn't He?!! He has truly blessed me in my life with amazing oppertunities! I find out about my interview in April. I'll let you all know more about that then!
So we tasted our wedding cake the other day. Let's just say wow! and you're going to have to all come to the wedding to taste for yourself how Amazing it really is! mmmm good! We are sloooowly wraping up wedding planning and details so we can enjoy the month of April with all these babies and special birthdays coming our way then! Our goal is to have pretty much everything complete by then! It will happen!! Good luck to us! ;-)

A Snowy Adventure

This morning, while mom and I were finishing up the largest, most boring part of wedding planning we noticed something big and white in our field outside. Ontop of the snow was a huge white dog. It was my grandaddy's. We realized our wedding planning had to be put on a pause for a bit and we had to catch this dog and chase him back up to my grandparents house. So mom and I put on our snow clothes, which were quite halarious I must say! And at 7:00 this morning we went trucking up the road to find this dog. After about 30 minutes of trying to get him to come to us, he finally just decided to go back to his field through a huge whole in the fence. So we had to play detective, follow the dog print trail to the mysterious hole in the fence, fix it with bob wire, and then we finally got to go home!
After we got there we worked a little more, ate chili, cleaned, and I played outside with Buddy. I don't know what it is about snow, but Buddy loved it. Up to his bootie and all! When he first went out he just went crazy and ran straight into a ditch with probably 6 inches of snow. I couldn't see him for a bit, but he jumped right back out and went off running again with a snowy beard and all!
Tonight I get to spend some time with the Hines twins. I think we may watch a movie and get some dinner. Spring break will be officially over come Monday, and that makes me very sad! I still have a lot I need to do for school between now and then. So yes, I literally can NOT procrastinate any longer! Tuesday I have a very important interview for an amazing job this summer! Please pray pray!!

Camping for Spring Break

John, Holly, Sam, and I all went camping this weekend for springbreak. We went to our usual place in Dover. We got the best spot in the whole campground! That what we thought! It was so beautiful. We were right on the lake. We had the most amazing sunsets, yummy food, and fun times playing games. John and I got there a little before Sam and Holly so we tok a little walk. We were looking for the tree that I carved last time we went last year. We found it and had to take pictures beside it! We were so happy it was still there. We decided to take pictures beside it each time we went camping there. It was a good, relaxing trip. Now, I don't have school until Monday. I have several things I need to do, well a lot of things I need to do before school on Monday.

SNow Day...but not really

Yesterday ... it snowed. I'm telling you all this becuase I don't belive that some poeple realized this fact. The people I'm speaking of are the people who choose to close Austin Peay. Interestingly enough, we were NOT closed yesterday...but the last two weeks when we had NO snow we were closed. Interesting. Seeing as I couldn't go anywhere do to extreme icy conditions and solid white roads, I stayed at home! So this is just what I did!
John, his brothers, and I put on some snow stuff and drove four wheelers to pick up Jenny. She doesn't live far off. I wasn't prepared for snow day so I had to borrow the most halarious 80's sni suit ever! PLEASE all take a moment and laugh at it now! It had SHOULD PADS! and STIRRUPS! it was awesome! And not to mention the amazing color scheme of it all! I loved it, it was just too funny to bare! But, I wore it anyways because I knew it would be warm and it was! So all day we road around in the snow pulling each other on a sled behind the four wheelers. We really enjoyed our day. It really wore us all out though! We all took a nap once the playing was over!
I'm off from school today. My only class today got canceled so I ahve a big list of stuff I'm trying to get accomplished! I sent off DeAnna's (May bride, John's cousin, my good friend) Bridesmaid dinner invitations this morning. I'm throwing her a nice night out for dinner with her and her bridesmaids. I'm one of them, so I wanted to plan something special for her! More to come on that! We meet with our hopeful cake lady tomorrow afternoon. I'll let you know how that goes!

Happy Heart Day!

The Day before Valentines Day John and I went out to eat to avoid the crowds. We ate at ... where else ... TGIFriday's! It was our first date, and we actually were seated at the same table from way back when! It was fun to think back to that time; it seems so long ago. For Valentines Day I made him a pineapple cake. It was like a big deal for me because I NEVER EVER EVER EVER cook or bake! It was an all day adventure of mixing some things before school that morning, to putting it all together later, to adding the details right before he got it around 7 last night! So, I was very proud and couldn't wait for him to see and to TASTE it! I ate dinner with his family which was soo good and soo valentine themed! It was cute. And then we played music for a while, and then opened presents. Last year John claims that I only got his hershey kisses. I continue to tell him that this couldn't be true! I love bying gifts and I can't imagine me buying ONLY that! So I decided to buy him those...again...for valentines day! I also made him something. I wrote him a letter and inserted the candy hearts in for some words and I framed it. It turned out pretty cute I thought! And of course, he got his cake! But that was to share with everyone! Mentioning the cake..it was FABulous! It was so light and yummy. John loved it! He had to taste the first bight since it was for him! John got me hershey hugs playing on the whole hershey kisses joke! he sais theyw ere out of kisses, but i'm glad they were because I just looove hugs! And he framed me a picture of us skiing together in a really contemporary frame! I really like it! So, we pretty much got each other similar things. We thought that was pretty cool. We had a great evening together with each other and then with his family. Hope everyone had a happy valentines day! Coming soon...gifts, jewels, and cake!

Cooking Italian

I have been looking forward to cooking all day! Strange hearing that from me! John had a really busy, and difficult day so I told him to plan on eating with me. So I cooked Italian! Basically, the one of the only things I can cook! But, that's ok! I'm learning! After working out, he dropped by and we enjoyed a yummy dinner of salad and fettuccini alfredo! It was pretty good...according to John. He loved it! I didn't enjoy it too much. The sause wasn't to much to my liking, so I had salad without the fet. alfredo!
So Valentines Day is approaching us all. I have never been the one to love Valentines Day, and I never really go crazy overboard with it. This year, John and I decided to save money and just get each other something small. I love what I got him! But, you can't know until he does! I'll be sure to take a picture so you can see how awesome of a gift it is! Coming soon!

Movie Review & Arrows

Saturday night Boober, Deanna, and I went to a movie. We watched 27 dresses. It was an awesome movie. Very funny, and one great chick flick. I would be into seeing it again, and I will definately own it once it comes on DVD. We really enjoyed each others company and visiting with each other. We got to the movie extremely early, so we had a chance to talk and visit for a long time.
Afterward, Boober and I dropped Deanna back off at home and headed towards home ourselves. On our way, we noticed a fancy sign that said live music and dancing. It was way in the country, so we knew it couldn't be too horrible, so we followed the arrows. Boober actually thought she knew where the arrows were leading us, she had been there before, so we weren't worried. We finally found the happenin' place and decided to venture inside. For, there is never a dull moment with Gobo and Boober together! Turns out it was a squaredancing place! It was a renevated barn where older people go and square dance. There was a live band, pool, and everything! It was lots of fun! The older people loved seeing some young faces in town! We actually knew several people there and Boober saw some poeple from her church. So, we sat down for some nice music and conversation! We even learned a few new dance steps! It was a surprisingly eventful night. One Boober and I will always remember!
The picture was taken right before we knew what exactly we were going to do.
John and I have made some updates on our wedding site. Take a peek and let us know what you think!

Cake Turnaround

Mom and I had an eventful day today. We HAD to sit down and finalize our guest list. After that was finally accomplished we were out to venture for a cake shop. Mom had been to this shop before, but she wasn't exactly too sure where it was. So we used her "sence" of direction. It wasn't too far in the wrong direction, but we finally made it there. It was fun testing different cakes, but they weren't what we were really looking for. John was bummed he couldn't go today beause of work so I promised him a cupcake! Even though we didn't decide to go with this place, I still bought him a cupcake. They wouldn't even let me choose which color I wanted! ...So he got a pink one. What a hoot! With cakes, we are back at square one! Check out this crazy creative one! Note: We did not go to this noted cake shop.

Valentines Dance

Last night was Coopertown Middle School's Valentines dance. Now, when I was going there these Valentine's dances were big deals! People would get all dressed up in nice dresses, tux's, and arrive in limo's and such! They were always the event of the year! Turns out, they still are! I dropped in on Michaela and Rebekah for a bit last night to see them all dressed to max! I was so excited to see they had chosen polka dots (my favorite!) to wear for the night! They were both simply beautiful!

A Ski Expert

According to my last post, I was a bit hesitant and nervous about this years ski trip. We are back, and I have report that I had an absolute blast! No broken bones or anything! It was so much fun, and apparently you are just automatically amazing your second time on the snow. I was at least! I had a great time with John's family, and a few friends that went with the church. It sure was a tireing weekend. once we got back it was time to start a new week, so I've been trying hard to catch up on rest and stuff.

Skiing

Over a year ago I went skiing with the singles at my church. That is where John and I met, and I haven't been skiing since. I never really cared for it that much. I didn't like that I wasn't in control of my body racing down a steep hill at like a bazillion miles per hour. So I would ski down the hill, fall over halfway, finish skiing down the hill to the lodge and sit in the lodge for an hour then go do it again. Tomorrow, I leave for my second ski trip with Johns family. I'm a bit nervous about skiing again, but I'm really excited I get a mini vaca! Mrs. Andrea doesn't ski so I will probably just sit in the lodge for the most part and talk with her. Pray we don't break anything, that would be horrible!

Thursday

I just love my Thursdays. I have one class, and it's later in the morning so I can sleep in, then after class I go to work. I woke up today with a really big headache, and decided not to go to class so I texted a friend. She informed me that we were out of school AND no work today due to ...snow.(?) This was much to my surprise, so I rolled over and slept a little longer to get rid of my headache. Mom took off today t take grandaddy to the docter. Before she had to leave she and I took care of several wedding things that were snowballing, and needed to be sorted out. I also had a chance to make all of my docter appointments, and even a trip to the spa as well! So, today has been quite successful so far! I think I may go sit and actually watch a little tv for a while and enjoy being home in the peace and quiet.
The picture is one of Buddy when he was a baby! He's three years old now. Thats 21 in dog years!

The Longest Day Ever

So, today is Monday. Today is also my first full scheduled Monday. I'm still here at school, and trying so hard to keep my eyes open and my body alert! Classes began for me at 8:00 this morning and they have been placed straight all throughout the day, and still continuing until late tonight. With the only two hour long breaks I have had, I have worked so earnestly on my music that I apparently have to have prepared to sing in about 50 minutes. I just had to take a quick break from music/school. Music is an art. And sometimes, quite frankly, it's just silly to want to do your art someone else's way. School is great, and I love learning more about my art, my gift. It certainly has educated me and definately taught me self-control and lots of patience throughout the past 3 years!

Baby Shower #1

This afternoon Mom, April, Katrina, Aunt Lesa, Valerie, Jacqaline, and I had a baby shower for my cousin Shelley. She is having twins due in March. We had a wonderful turn out and she and Kevin got many, many great things! My favorite gifts of the afternoon were two matching bibs that said "If you think I'm cute, you should see my twin." Too cute!

Yummy Food

Last night John and I went out to eat with several of our friends. John and I just love Japanese food, but we hardly ever get to eat any. Last night we ate at Shogun in Clarksville. I had never eaten at this Japanese place before so I was pumped to see if it was any good. It was great, as usual. We just had the best time out with everyone. It's just so hard to get together with friends when everyone has busy schedules with work and school. John and I split the Teryoki (spell?) chicken. And of course you get the rice, salad, soup, and such. All great, yummy stuff!
I am so thankful for all of our friendships that we have developed together with other people. Sometimes I just can't believe how blessed I am to have all of my family, and friends in my life. I am a very blessed lady.
I can't even begin to express the extreme thanfulness that I have for having John placed in my life. It's amazing how my whole life I prayed for this perfect man to be placed in my life then when I least expected it, he was there. John is my best friend, and I can't wait to begin the rest of our lives together!

Do Mi So Mi Do

I am taking one of my favorite classes I've ever taken in college this semester. It's called vocal pedagogy. Which means you learn how to teach voice lessons! It's so much fun learning more about how the voice works and all the "in-depth" stuff. During this semster, we have to put what we are learning to the test and actually have a "student" that we teach for 30 minutes a week for the whole semester. So I began teaching today! I was sooo nervous and excited! It went really well. It was just so exciting to know that today was the beginning of something that I will get to do for the rest of my life.

Happy New Year and such

First I must say how pathetic I have been by not blogging at all. The case is not that I don't have anything to blog about, but I have actually had a lot to blog about.
I really enjoyed my Christmas break. I got to do many things. Dad, Josh, John, and I all went to see the Transiberian Orchestra. I have been to many, many concerts and productions so far in my life and this one topped them all.
We were very successful in the wedding planning! I found my shoes and we also purchased many other things here and there. The tuxes are ordered as are the bridesmaid dresses. And no, I'm not insane doing it this early. The dresses will not even be in until late April and the girls will then have time to get them altered. And the tuxes needed to be ordered by the first of February to assure availability. The nightmares are continuing to increase about wedding details. It's not even that I'm worried, but my dreams keep reminding me that I may be late to my own wedding, or the florist will not show. It's actually just annoying, and pretty funny to be quite honest!
John and I celebrated our one year anniversary together this month. He got me a really cool clock radio for my iPod. I was so excited because I'm so big on electronics!
I started back to school with 20 hours this semester. I'm almost finished! Only one more year. I actually had a really crazy thought the other day. I realized that this summer is my last summer until I will have a full time job somewhere! That is so exciting. I can't wait to just go to a job everyday doing what I love. I think it's so much better than having homework, and trying to impress your teachers with good grades.
With baby news: April, my sister, is doing great! She is having a boy and he is due in April around my birthday! Shelley, my cousin, pregnant with boy and girl twins is also doing well and she is due in March.
I'm beginning to hold on tight because the next 5 months are going to be filled with four babies, and four wedding! We are all so excited!
