Some First & Some Lasts

My dad has always been big about "firsts and lasts" In fact, on my wedding day he wrote me a letter of firsts and lasts. Today I had a special date with my dad. He accompanied me to my Holiday concert at school. I realized that although John and I are really going through a year of firsts, I am beginning to go through a lot of lasts in my own personal life. Today was my last Holiday concert. Tuesday will be my last voice jury, and last Thursday was my last full day of classes in a Fall semester. I know this all may sound like rambling or goofiness. But it's true. My college career is coming to a quick end. One more semester and I'm out of there. It has been a long and difficult roller coaster ride. But I will honestly have to say that I have really been upset and knowing that my learning of music is almost over. I have learned more than I knew I actually could. So now we are praying about whether I should go on and learn more with a Masters. We aren't sure where God wants us with that right now but we do know He has placed that desire in my heart.
As a member of the firsts category we can add a trip to Gatlinburg. I will not say when this great vacation is because there could be "crazies" on here and I would hate for something well, crazy to happen. But anyways, we are going to Gatlingburg with our great friends Sam and Holly. It will be our first annual! We plan on embarking in some serious relaxation and of course some great hot tub time! We are hoping it snows..alot..like snows us in for a few extra days. But we'll have to wait and see. This picture is actually from last time John and I were in Gatlinburg..which was on our honeymoon. This time it will be much colder!!! We look different right? Amazing what 6 months of marriage will do to a person!! Ha!
Please pray for me this week. I have finals around every turn and I'm really going to need every moment to study and prepare for these.
