A Special Thanks

John and I thank you all so much for lifting my mother up in your prayers this past week. It was definatly a scary rollercoaster for us all. It's really amazing how a family ties together when the person who holds it all together gets sick. She is doing good now. She is at home and back to normal. We are just trying to keep her rested so she doesn't get back to real life too quick. For those of you who did not know, here is what happened. Tuesday night Dad called John in a panic wondering what to do. He told him that mom kept asking the same questions and she wasn't remembering any short term memory. John told him to rush her to the ER and that we would be shortly behind. About 3:30 Wednesday morning we were still there with her. At this point the MRI and a few other tests had shown no sign of a brain tumor or a stroke. Praise God! This lifted our spirits, but the doctors still were scratching there heads. After many nights spent at the hospital and many tests done the doctors sent her home on Friday with a conclusion. They called it Transient Global Amnesia. It's not really triggered by anything, it doesn't hurt anything in your body, and it won't happen again. It wasbasically one of those freak things that our bodies do. That's the way I best describe it. We are so thankful that she is ok and doing so much better. I have never been so scared in my life. It was a long, hard week for all of us and we are just so thankful for everyone's support. Holly and Sam, thank you so much for calling all to pray when we had no answers. We love you both and all of our readers so much.
