As most of you already know, yesterday was my last Sunday to be on staff at church. The past year has been such an incredible experience for me. God has taught me so many things through so many people. I love that He blessed me with this oppertunity to work for Him.
Last night was my last Awana. I grew a bit attatched to Awana and really looked forward to it every Sunday night. Seeing as my last day on staff is this Wednesday I was not expecting a thing last nigth but a normal Awana schedule.
For my sermon I read to them Phil. about running for the prize and I read "Oh The Places You Will Go" I want them to follow their dreams, live their lives to the fullest. They really enjoyed it.
After the open ceremony, I usually just relax and circulate for an hour with the kids and adults. Last night I was kept in the gym to play rec with the kids. I figured they just wanted me in there so they could all enjoy a little more extra time with me. It wore me OUT! haha! It was a blast.
At the end of the night I said goodbye to the kids in the closing ceremony and was going to pray and was interupted by Ladonna. They gave me a huge card that all of the kids and teachers had signed that morning and night with a gift card to Sam Ash...WHOOHOO! When I figured that was enough they had blown up at least, what looked like 100 balloons and somehow got them to explode from the air. I love me some baloons, so that just really made me happy! Then they told me to sit down for one last surprise. They had created a slideshow of pictures. IT was incredible to see all of the things from the past year. There were so many things that I have gotten to do with these children. Afterward we took a group picture and someone returned my camera to me. I'm SO BLONDE that I didn't even realize that someone had taken my camera to take pictures on as well as two others. Smooth...so smooth! It was a night full of surprises and I jsut can't thank them enough!

I'm so glad that your last night was great and memorable. You are so wonderful! I know you've made a difference in a lot of children's lives...mine too. Love you Lindsey!
Lindsey, You have done an outstanding job as interim. Not many your age can say that they have had this experience. I pray that God will continue to use you and your experience to further his kingdom, just as he has a FBCJ. We love you. Don't forget you have to babysit for us. Harrison said that you are his favorite, along with Mommy
