Saturdays are so nice when I get to go spend time with my family. This Saturday Josh's friend grilled chicken, corn, apples, friend apples, and...are you ready...turtle. Yes. I said turtle! And it was ALL great! Even the turtle! I will add that I didn't know what it was..I was tricked by my brother of course! Later we went for a walk and picked apples. It was such a special day for me. Every Saturday that I get to go over to my parents house is always so special and memorable. It seems recently we are always doing something nostalgic. (Mom, I hope I used that often thrown around word correctly. But if not, you know what I mean!) I love my family so much, and I am so thankful that I get to spend some quality time with them every once in a while.
This week has definately been a challenge in the Maholland home. Real life is tough sometimes. We have had to buy a new tire because someone decided to put a curb on the side of the road and it got in my way! And may I also add that Charter and Verizon services have just given us a headache this week. They just can't seem to get their act together. What has amazed me through all of this chaos this week is that John and I can still slow down and thank God for Him, each other-our new family. We are enjoying it very much together, even though it isn't always easy! But that is what is making our family, our marriage so much stronger!
