Our First Thanksgiving

John and I had such a wonderful Thanksgiving together. We enjoyed my mom's side of the family for lunch then visited some of John's family for late afternoon. We had some amazing turkey and dressing and all the other best Thanksgiving food there is.

That night John and I decided to stop by Walmart and get a pizza and eggnog. I have been craving it like crazy and John had never had it before. We both enjoyed it very much.
On Black Friday Dad and I always go out early for some special or sometimes up to no good at all! Friday he showed up at our house at 3:45 a.m. to start our mission. Our mission this year was to get a flat screen TV to hang above our fireplace in our new house. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Dad and I totally rocked this year! We got to Circuit City early, stood in line with our coffee and received our "ticket" for the tv that we wanted. What a success!
John was still home after Dad and I got back so we all enjoyed some more coffee and set up our new TV. This really woke me up so I decided to go shopping with Mom and April. We were gone all day. I got so much accomplished for John's Christmas. I can't wait for our Christmas morning together!!!
For all of you wondering on our brick, here is the answer! Old Walnut Queen is her name! We got to see them actually laying our very first brick on our house Friday. It was really cool! We also got to put our initials in the foundation. We have this on each corner in each room of our house. The walls will be up by next week!
Today we had Thanksgiving for my Dad's side. It was a wonderful visit with amazing food. I made a Cherry Cheesecake. After, John and I attempted our picture for our Christmas card and this is the "best" one we got out of the bunch. We decided we needed naps and that we will just try again later. Sam and Holly came over tonight for Chili and cookies...and coffee..lots of it actually. We really enjoyed our visit with them. We are really thankful for them and their friendship.

Yay! I am glad you got your TV! I was thinking about you on Friday.

That is very cool that you were able to put your initials in the foundation. I love that!
