This year we had planned to enjoy Labor Day by the water at a campground. With some work scheduling conflicts, we quickly realized last minute that we couldn't quite make that plan work out in time. We made due and enjoyed bringing the camping to us. On Sunday we enjoyed the Labor Day sales and got some great deals on clothes and Bath and Body Works season essentials for the house. Later, we had a grill out and a sleepover at the house with friends and enjoyed some s'mores by the fire on the chilly evening we had last night. It was like a better form of camping with no air mattresses, bugs, or dirty bathrooms!
We woke up early this morning and enjoyed a big breakfast, got ready and headed to Nashville for a sunny, fall afternoon. We got to go to the Golden Age of Couture exhibit at the Frist which also had some Chihuly Glass Art and photography on display. It was absolutely amazing to see all couture from the 40's to the 50's that had been worn by princesses, queens, and famous actresses straight from Paris.
It was a treat! We had some fabulous wings for lunch and headed home for an afternoon nap.
This week is going to be a hectic one.
I'm sure it'll be the weekend again before we know it! Happy Labor Day from our home to yours! We hope everyone had a peaceful and restful weekend!
